
ROADIS launches an international campaign to prevent road accidents under the slogan: "your safety, our priority". For one year, work is being done in all its participating concessions with several objectives: to avoid accidents, reduce accident rates and remind users of the importance of respecting traffic regulations. The "Your safety, our priority" campaign has an impact on the more than 225,000 daily users of the highways managed by ROADIS.

ROADIS partnered up with the Bahía State Ministry of Health - Organ Transplant Centre. The objective was to publicise the "A life which makes a difference" campaign, to raise public awareness of the importance of donation. Toll teams received campaign shirts and distributed information booklets on the topic.

ROADIS works with communities near the Monterrey-Saltillo highway through UANL scholarships and community training.

As part of the ROADIS Corporate Social Responsibility policy, the India team launched a program to distribute more than 18,000 seed balls in Ladhowal, Punjab (India) along our section of the NH1. This is a natural farming method to mix seeds within different sized mud balls, which are then dispersed in fields without needing to bury them.

Road education initiative and community outreach program near to our concession holder's operation. This is an awareness initiative to raise public awareness of the importance of using crossings to cross the road instead of exposing themselves to the danger of crossing at unauthorised spots.

Theb>A-4 employees donated second-hand car seats to help disadvantaged families

A-4 employees organised a philanthropic campaign to collect toys to share them with different charities. The initiative was coordinated by Mutua Universal.

This initiative was developed in collaboration with the ROADIS team at the Madrid headquarters. Over one day, four teams of volunteers worked at 4 primary schools in Aranjuez and Getafe to train little ones in basic road safety concepts. Crossing the road, wearing a seatbelt and using mobile phones at the wheel were the main concepts shared during a fun and educational day.

In collaboration with the municipality of Santa Catarina, on 14 December the entire CAMS family helped the environment by cleaning out a ravine and planting trees.

Caatinga Day (an exclusively Brazilian biome, which combines natural beauty with the history, culture and art of rural people) was held on 28 April. ROADIS, in association with the Universidad Federal de Recôncavo da Bahía (UFRB), organised this initiative for 75 students between 4 and 11 years old.

On Tree and Wildlife Day, ROADIS developed an Environmental Education initiative for 350 children in Bahía. The activities included the symbolic planting of seedlings of native species in different parts of the city. During a second stage, in partnership with the Universidad Federal de Recôncavo Baiano (UFRB), a dynamic and interactive class was given on mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians.

To celebrate Children's Day (12 October), a group of ROADIS employees met to brighten the day of more than 170 children at the Abdias Nascimento Municipal Centre for Childhood Education, located in the district of Nova Valéria, Salvador de Bahía. The programme included the "De Conto em Conto" project, with the presentation of videos with children's music. The children were able to play and meet puppets from the "Vía Ambiental" programme.

On World Water Day on 22 March, ROADIS invited 20 children from the Miltom Matos Municipal School, located in the municipality of Candeias/BA, to visit the Bahía Water Utility Company's (EMBASA) Treatment Station. On this occasion, the children took part in a mini-conference on water treatment and how it reaches the tap in their homes. They also learned about the laboratory and treatment techniques and took part in visits to water treatment facilities.

ROADIScarried out the “Salve Boitatá, ¡Serpente de Fogo!" project in the municipality of Jequié. The action was promoted in collaboration with the Bahía Federal University’s Centre for Snakes and Poisonous Animals (NOAP/UFBA) and the Jequié Historical Museum. Activities included a presentation of the Puppet Theatre with "Lixo é a casa do bicho", an exhibition on wild animal species, videos and conferences.

At the start of the 19-20 school year, ROADIS donated an ophthalmology refractometer to the Surat Civil Hospital (Gujarat). This hospital treats disadvantaged people without state medical insurance.

The Environmental Education Program, promoted by ROADIS to instruct, educate and ensure respect for the environment amongst employees and local communities, so that they act responsibly. On this occasion, 315 employees took part in planting trees in communities neighbouring our assets in India.

With the support of all Monterrey highway employees, approximately 100 kg of PET lids were collected. Like on 15 November, they were taken to the Santa Catarina Municipality to support "the fight against childhood cancer".

In 2019, more than 1,700 people in Bahía received check-ups and treatment from healthcare teams sponsored by VIABAHIA, in association with VITALMED. The campaign lasted seven months, during which more than 5,000 kilometres were travelled across 27 municipalities. Saúde no Trecho has the support of the state health department.
