From Rocío to her kids

Rocío constantly remembers that story of simplicity and gratitude: thanks to ROADIS, in the summer of 2018 she participated in a volunteer project with mothers and children from Calcutta. The mothers are taught to save and become entrepreneurs, the children to take care of themselves to be independent.

Remembering is an exercise that Rocío does conscientiously; when we think we have everything; we often forget the most basic things. The experience in India marked a before and an after, because nothing could beat it. As well as a new chapter, because it will always stay with her. Thank you, ROADIS.

Other CR projects

Saúde no Trecho Program<

Medical care was provided to more than 1650 people in 2018.

5,350 kilometres were travelled, and 26 municipalities were visited in five months. "Saúde No Trecho" is an CR program carried out by VIABAHIA in partnership with VITALMED in which people are offered the opportunity of receiving free healthcare.

Environmental Education Program

The Environmental Education Program has three goals:

to teach, educate and inspire. The intention is for local communities, drivers and our employees to be more aware of and employ better behaviours and responsible practices concerning the environment.

World Environment Day

On World Environment Day, more than 400 children gathered along with their parents and teachers from the Luis Viana Filho public school. This event was the result of the partnership between VIABAHIA, the Center for Ophiology and Animals of Bahía (Núcleo de Ofiología y Animais Peçonhentos da Bahia - NOAP) and the Federal University of Bahía (UFBA). A day for children to observe poisonous animals closely and learn basic key concepts about them.

World Environment Day

On World Environment Day, more than 400 children

gathered along with their parents and teachers from the Luis Viana Filho public school. The event, the result of the partnership between VIABAHIA, the Center of Ophiology and Animals of Bahía (Núcleo de Ofiología y Animais Peçonhentos da Bahía (NOAP)) and the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), helped the children to observe some poisonous animals closely, in addition to teaching them basic key concepts about the poisonous animals.

World Water Day

For World Water Day, on 22 March

A session of film and puppet theatre was organized for 140 children from the María Rosa Freire public school in the city of Salvador. Issues relating to social awareness and initiatives to take better care of our water were addressed.

Tree and Wildlife Day

On Tree and Wildlife Day we brought together more than 440 children from the municipality of Brejões to raise their awareness on issues relating to the environment. At the end of the day, they helped plant 150 tree seedlings.

The FRM and the FEyA renew their partnership agreement with India

Real Madrid Foundation (FRM) and the Esperanza y Alegría Foundation (FEyA)

On Monday, 22 January, an event was held in which the Real Madrid Foundation (FRM) and the Esperanza y Alegría Foundation (FEyA) renewed the partnership agreement for supporting and developing socio-sports projects in India.

ROADIS is an important part of this agreement, since thanks to our support, a new project that is being run at St. Mary’s socio-sports school in Kerala has been launched.

CAMS 5K race

The concession holder of the Monterrey Saltillo Highway (CAMS)

Committed to social initiatives and the integral development of the community, worked with the Federal Police on the 5K race they organized.

CAMS sponsored the race with donations for participants in the children's category. A partnership in the form of gifts such as bicycles, skates and footballs, basketballs and volleyballs.

A special volunteer in India

Rocío Cabra embarked on an adventure

Traveling to India to volunteer in order to "give a little bit back of everything that this country has given her, working with ROADIS", as part of the agreement between the Institute for Indian Mother and Child, the Real Madrid Foundation and ROADIS.

In 2018, ROADIS was a leading partner of the Real Madrid Foundation in socio-sports projects in schools in India. These projects aim to promote the children’s development based on three fundamental values: respect, teamwork and a desire to excel.

Rocío was our first volunteer on the ground. But we are sure that many more will come.
