Innovation

2025 was a year defined by purpose-driven innovation. Our goal was to generate tangible impact for people and the business, contributing to a more innovative and sustainable model.

PEOPLE IMPACT

We are convinced that innovation starts with people and is fostered as an essential part of our culture. Collective talent is the engine that allows us to evolve and make a difference. In 2025, we brought innovation to every corner of the company through initiatives that inspire, connect, and transform.

  • Inspiration Day: EROADIS’s inspiration day. Through a talk from an expert, we bring new perspectives, motivation, and trends.

  • Innovation Week: Immersive visits to company assets with hands-on workshops that connect global strategy with local reality. In 2025, we focused on robotics and artificial intelligence.

  • The Innovation MBA: An executive program with five hands-on sessions on creativity and innovation fundamentals and methodologies, featuring expert speakers in each session.

Genius Awards:
intrapreneurship that drives change from within

Genius Awards is now one of the strongest levers of our innovation culture: more than 420 ideas have been submitted by employees across the organization since the first edition, addressing the company’s main challenges. This initiative accounts for 62% of the projects integrated into the innovation funnel.

BUSINESS IMPACT

Continuous identification of challenges and opportunities across the company—through levers such as Genius Awards, workshops, and internal identification of potential improvements—translates directly into projects with high potential for deployment in our assets to optimize operational processes and improve efficiency. This process led to 24 new initiatives added to the innovation pipeline.

OPEN IMPACT

We remain committed to open innovation as a driver of growth and sector adaptation.

In 2025, we launched our first Venture Client program: Innovaction, with two challenges: improve the safety of our roads and increase the automation and use of robotics in our operations. Through this program, we identified 225 new innovative companies, 50 of which registered to collaborate with us.

In addition, our participation in innovation hubs such as Area 101 and The Corporate Entrepreneurs Club and, especially, joining Patio Campus as a collaborating member, helped us connect with startups and exchange knowledge with corporations and public administrations.

AI AND STRATEGIC FORESIGHT

During 2025, we continued rolling out the Artificial Intelligence strategy defined in 2024.

This vision is structured around a three-horizon plan that combines technology adoption, development of AI solutions, and a new strategic-thinking framework oriented toward the future to strengthen the company’s ability to adapt to environmental transformations.

The three horizons defined are as follows:

Horizon 1
AI ADOPTION IN THE BUSINESS

We continued integrating AI into daily processes to improve productivity and standardize best practices. The Microsoft Copilot adoption program at corporate headquarters (HQ) enabled teams to be trained and helped accelerate cross-functional tasks. It included 20 training sessions (group or 1:1) for a total of 70 participants. In addition, continuous impact measurement shows positive progress in adoption of this technology.

Horizon 2
AI PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

We focused on solving specific problems using AI to improve efficiency and operational excellence. In 2025, we identified 15 new AI use cases, resulting in nine projects in the study phase and one pilot implemented.

Horizon 3
STRATEGIC FORESIGHT

We launched a futures-thinking framework that allows us to anticipate trends, explore scenarios, and guide strategic decisions beyond AI. This approach strengthens long-term anticipation and decision-making.

We continue moving toward more integrated innovation, connected to the real needs of our operations. Our next challenges are to scale AI use, strengthen anticipation through futures thinking, and continue consolidating a global innovation culture.

In 2026, we want not only to respond to change, but to anticipate it and lead it. We will continue driving initiatives that create value, inspire our teams, and open new opportunities.

Because innovating is not just about improving the present—it’s about imagining what we can become.
